Alarm going off every hour for 30 sec
I had new keys made by a specialist in Milton Keynes, no remote activators were delivered. now after a month , the alarm goes off every hour for about 30 seconds. how can i deactivate?
I had a similar issue on 2 occasions. First was the my remote was low on battery and went haywire activating the alarm every once in a while. Replaced the batteries to fix it. The second was that a door switch was broken, resulting in a door open signal being sent to the computers and the alarm going off. To test of the second one, put the key in the ignition and close all the doors. A door open signal will appear in the dash lights if a door switch is broken. In my case, I was a bit broke at the time and just snipped the wires instead of finding a replacement switch. It could also be neither of these issues.
I may be mistaken but I believe that if you just push down the door locks instead of using the key to lock the car, it won't turn on the alarm system and therefore it can't go off. It's not exactly ideal but it's what I had to work with to avoid my neighbors killing me the various times my alarm kept going off.
