Default Almost had a parts car!

Drove home with windows down and smelled gas. Popped the hood and gas spewing from the top of one injector. Big puddle under injector. Can see the orange of O-ring sticking out. Looks like it split. Ordered 8 sets from Rock Auto. Question is why are there three.

I don’t know why there’s three but they are a pain to get back in I had to put lubricant on them maybe there’s a tool to force them in. Hot day last summer both the fuel lines going to the tank disconnected car died of course I was just trying to restart it..Right next to the hot exhaust. When I finally figured it out yeah I had fuel everywhere but every time I turn the key oh boy. Kind of that thing what doesn’t kill us gets us to the next level

The red circle (chicken scratch) on the right is where the fuel injector meets the fuel rail and the other two fit inside the intake manifold. I use a q-tip and some petroleum jelly on the o rings for a much easier installation.
You’re lucky that it didn’t go up in flames like an old V12 jag.
