Anyother issues?
Hello everyone; hope your week has been good so far. Well; the Jag has been in repair a lot lately within the past month; so has my wallet. Infact I think there are spider webs in my bank account now . I know the common issue on the AJ V8 are the timing chains, water pump, and T-stat housing.
I have replaced ALL of those within the past month, including new head gaskets and seals.
My question is; is there there anything else I should prepare myself for in the long run? Are there any other major issues that can arise? And lastly, how long will the engine go for now that it was these upgrades if maintained properly, ect?
Thank you!

Hope the cooling system upgrades included all the associated hoses. Also the serpentine belt and idler pulleys. Long term look forward to suspension issues.
I do not know if it is just the type of folks frequenting this forum, which I suspect, but there are few posts on cars above 150k miles. That would suggest the profile of forum member are second or third owners in the mid life of the cars and not the life expectancy of the cars themselves.

Depending on how you drive, you should get many k's out of her. I recently just donated a '97 Expedition to Make A Wish foundation for which I had put 693,000 on her and they drove her away. She was my work truck and as an old time racer said (paraphrasing), "A vehicle knows not who made it, but how well someone is that takes care of it" ...that man was none other than Smokey Yunick.
So if you take care of her, she'll take care of you.
