Default Attempted to fix the third brake light

Hello everyone; hope all is well. Today was the day I was finally going to fix the third brake light since the glue holding it became weak.

I removed the plastic cover ( it then cracked )
Removed the strip of bulbs ( tab broke off )
Removed the metal bosses and cleaned those off
Attempted to fix tab ( did not work )
Reattached the strip of bulbs
Tried to reattach the outer plastic cover but it would not go on for the life of me; and then the corner just crumbled off.
I gave up.

So, I attempted to fix the brake light and I failed; badly because of the cracks. But anyway, is there another brake light option? Or should I just replace it with another X308 one?

Best to find a new one: Good luck, not many available. I epoxied mine (crappy job) and reinstalled it. Really bad plastic.

My wife's POS 04 Maxima has the same plastic -- crumbles in your hands.

I got another off e-bay -- the plastic is very brittle.
