Hi All Benn an XJ8 owner for about a year now. 2002 vande 96000 miles. Like the car and have been fixing little things with the help of this forum. So I'm sure I'll here back on this subject. Seat moves as commanded but will not move to memory positions nor will it move when removing the key. Same with the steering wheel. The telescopic function of the seering wheel went out about two months ago. Can hear the motor but no movement. I believe it's cable operated. Looking forward to the replies. Yea I'm a sucker for these older cars but there's somthing about running down the motorway in perfect quite and the smoothest ride known Thanks Jeff

 

Sounds like the cable snapped- common problem.
