Will a x300 steering wheel work on an X308? I'm upgrading to a wood steering wheel and I found one with the correct trim color in great condition. Can I mount the electronics from my XJ8 and back cover on the X300 steering steering wheel frame?

 

It should fit with no problem. I compared my wooden one from my former X300 with the current one in the X308 and they look the same... Just the airbag is a tad different. The rest though is the same and the buttons should be a "bolt on" thing...

 

+1 on what Daim said. Looks like the same mounting positions for controls and airbag to me. If you pop the plastic off the back of your x308 wheel and pop it on the x300 wheel your x308 airbag and control buttons should fit nice and flush in the new wheel. Thats what I did to fit a x100 wheel in my '98 XJR and it worked great. Good luck!
