I'm at a loss, looking at the wiring for 2001 XJR, there's a dimmer module, I wonder if this is dead.
The problem is no auto and parking lights....
Light stalk can switch lights on, but no auto feature, adjusted on the rear view mirror to max and min, no joy.
On starting the car, all warning lights except side lights light up for a moment, its as if there is no sidelight feature....
Tried in the dark, and with blocking the light sensor for auto.
Tested for voltage on the sidelights, nothing.
It's doing my head in, are they related, is there a fuse I can replace?

Here are the fuses I found that May or May Not be related, but worth checking:
Left Heelboard #3 = Dimmer module.
Left Heelboard #16 = Electrochromic interior mirror (where fitted),
centre console switchpack, gear selector,
traction control switch illumination, J-gate
mode switch illumination. Pin A9 luggage
compartment fuse box, heated rear window
relay, fuel pump relay, secondary fuel pump
relay (supercharged). Pin A5: feed to fuses 10
& 12 in right-hand heelboard.
Luggage Compartment Fusebox #1 = Security and locking control module
(Reversing lamps, rear fog lamps, stop lamps,
electrochromic mirror).
I'm also chasing an Auto Headlight problem....

dropped the steering wheel off today and found 2 wires have broke off the back of the light stalk, swopped the light stalk out for a good one and all is well.....both auto lights and sides are back, result...
If I didn't have a backup stalk, I would have soldered the wires back, it was obvious where they went.
SuperSport, what's your Auto lights problem, is it not functioning?
