Battery.
My 2001 Jaguar XJ8,
Has been sitting for 2 months it has been moved 5 feet 4 times at the body shop whose working there and he is fixing my x308 car. I get the car tomorrow and I will check how it starts or if there is any warning messages. But do I need to go to autozone to get it checked, because of it sitting?

I would suggest that you have the shop fully charge the battery before you collect it.
Thee cars do not like below par batteries, especially if it has been fitted with the cheaper variety.
These cars need their batteries charged proepwrly on an automatic charger,
especially if it has suffered a lot of stop start short tripping.
Do this and save yourself a lot of grief later ;o)
Sitting around for two months does no modern battery any good.

Thanks, I went and got the car and he said ive charged it twice today, the car started rough and there was a check engine light that got away once i got to AutoZone, a woman checked my battery and said it is good, but needs charge that will be good once you normally drive, the battery has a 2 year warranty left and is a AutoCraft Plat-AGM battery.
Normal driving will not properly deep charge a battery like this.
If the battery does not have a deep charge to bring it up to at least 13.5 volts,
you end up with all sorts of weird codes and behavior.
If you do not own a decent charger....buy one!!
you need to keep the battery on the charger while the car is not being used as their
is a constant quiescent voltage drain on the system in these cars.

I had a student the other day with a flat battery, Autozone kept telling her it was fine, just needed charged. Guess what, it was the battery, dead cell. New battery, no problem. I DO NOT FLIRT with batteries, if suspect, buy A new one, not worth the frustration to deal with a dead or suspect one.
