Default Battery related : PO327 (knock sensor) ?

Car was in the paint shop for 6 weeks & the guy did not heed my request to keep it on the tender. Today I pick it up & get PO327 w/ Restricted Performance alert. Never had this before & had no codes prior to putting in the shop. I know the battery went dead due to my radio & settings etc.

Is this just a low battery related code or the harbinger of future repair ?

Thanks

did he wash up the engine? washing it will destroy both knock sensors.

Negative, I'm betting it's the battery. I've got it charging now, after it's 100% I'll clear codes & go from there.

Hmm. I bet he had lots of dust or overspray in the engine bay and tried to rinse it off. Thusly, water on the knock sensors.

I doubt he would do that without telling me, plus I just checked there's still sanding residue prevalent underneath.

Battery's @ 75% now I just checked it, when I start it I get no CEL light/ the orange engine shaped icon, but still showing "Restricted Performance", which I doubt because I drove it on the freeway to get it back home & no limitations were noted.

Edit :

Which side is bank 1, thanks.

Tried a hard reset? My body shop who fixed the car when I hit a deer said that the reason he didn't rinse the engine bay is because of how the electrics get on these cars with water. I just wiped it with all purpose cleaner and a microfibre towel.

Well it's grown sporadic now, doesn't come on for 10-15 minutes of driving. I have the part tracked down locally, but I will try a hard reset tomm. & see what happens.
