Personally I think that is awesome, I want to find out who made his bell housing adapter for the bimmer box

 

If you read further in his thread, you will see they welded a BMW box onto the Benz bell housing, no adapter.

 

Solid and a good way to save a couple grand!

 

The Corvette Z01 ZF s6-40 I think?... that would be a nice box to fit, AP do a semi organic clutch that's ideal, and XJS/X300 pedal boxes can be used.

I'm not sure what Norman Durban's XKR is fitted with, Avos would know. Jaguar's own SVO prototype manual conversion in the XKR-R had a permanent 'Gearbox Fault' warning I think that was a Getrag 550 with a powerloc diff.
