Bosch 010 pump
I have one to install. But, I don't want to solder the pins to the pump. Are there no adapter plugs we can buy? Want to install the 010 bump before I put the 1.5psi pulley on the s/c.
There’s no issue with the extra flow of the pump. There will need to be a minor fabrication of the bracket. If memory serves me right, I believe you’ll need a longer bolt because the pump body is physically larger in diameter. You’ll see what I mean when you in there.
I found the MB pins on the 010 Bosch pumps flimsy. After soldering, they both broke off. There is no use opening up the pump, either by unscrewing the bottom or unlocking the tabs. The electrical connector doesn't have enough clearance to pull off the cover. You can hacksaw off the plastic connector to reveal fairly meaty connectors. Careful not to pull hard because the inside wires are thin. Melt away the plastic over the connectors and solder. Then push back in and coat everything with epoxy.
On a 10 XKR, I had a pump with pigtails and rubber pump holder. No sturdy bracket.

To me it sounds like you don’t have the spring loaded clip on the connector. It’s just a standard Bosch old style fuel injector connector. With the spring in place, when you put the connector onto the pump, you should feel and hear an audible *click* of the spring clip.

I think at least on our X308..intercooler and radiator are just the same thing. I don't think there is an separate rad behind this "intercooler", it would be just the cooling fan.

Brandon, I've been running the upgraded rad and pump since '08 and never had an overheat when I've been in TX during the summer. Same thing in DC and Sacramento, so humid climate or dry. The time I have an issue is here in Northern NV; high altitude and fun roads to drive! So, when I go up to the lake (Tahoe), it's a 3,000 foot climb and it starts at 4750. Sometimes I can make it to the summit without hitting 236F on the ECT gauge, but not during the summer. Oh yea, driving from San Diego to Austin last year in June, going across central CA and AZ with the outside temperature at 110F, MY IAT was at 91 and ECT at 204.

I've considered the thin air as a possibility, but it only happens when I'm climbing the hills. Once I start down from the summit, the ECT cools down as fast as it went up. From what I've read, I'm thinking that it's the "Heaton" SC that's causing the problem; I do drive a little aggressively sometimes.
If you want to add about 20 yards to your golf shots, book a tee-time at Edgewood !!!

If you take the bumper off it's the first one you see, over $1,000 new I'm currently looking for a replacement, probably Powerhouse as its drop in and half the OE price.
