brake bleeder nipple and hose diameter

Does anyone know what inner diameter of hose fits best for use in bleeding the brakes?

Likely the same on XK as XJ, so if you have a reasonable guess please feel free to chime in.

I believe the diameter hose I used was 3/16" inner diameter. No leaks just a black rubber hose.

Thanks. I settled on aquarium airline hose. More flexible and cheaper than the usual suspects.
