Cabin Filter
Few, if any, US cars were delivered with a cabin filter. Its location is below the grill, below the windshield on the passenger side. You have to remove the wiper arms, which requires a $10 tool, and 4 or 6 screws to see if you have a filter.
This is information from my Jaguar Dealer parts Manager. This is not submitted to start a great debate or contradict prior information. I'm just simply passing on what I was told.
There are NO filters (cabin or alike) of any kind manufactured on XJ8 Jaguars before 2004.
Thanks,
Thomas

OK then, there is no cabin filter. What are the pieces of black foam flying out of my AC dashboard vents? Are they something different? Any help would be appreciated.

I ordered and received a cabin air filter for the 2001 Jaguar XK8 that I just bought for my wife. Can someone please tell me how to replace it. Ron
