I can't find the torque sequence for the camshafts for my 2002 xj8 4.0L. Please let me know. I did see one thread for the xj6 that said from right to left inside out on both cams. If you know, please chime in. Thanks, Doug

 

Start in the middle and work out. It is safer if you have the engine rotated so that there is little or no pressure on the valve caps.
