Default CAN communication

Conductors between the CAN network modules, is it a digital signal? Can I read it? How do I know (verify) whether it is there, or if is a "correct" signal?

it is an analog voltage signal and an ohms reading you can see using a simple multimeter. Google up canbus diagnostic with multimeter. That is how i found the easy video to do basic canbus checks
