Can you check tensioners with a bore scope?
Selling engine from a 2001 XJR. Build date January 01, VIN ends with F32726, so didn't come with third generation tensioners. I have a thin borescope with forward and 90 degree camera. Anyone have success going in through oil fill hole to view instead of pulling valve cover?
They work. But you’re lucky if you find anything, just chain and sprocket view- with the cam cover removed it gives you the 360 visuals.
It’s a steel liner engine, with tensioner updates it’d be very useful/of value.
