Default Cannot move Head Rest FW

My Head Rest motor & controls work fine. Can move HR up & down & seat back angle also works.

The head restraint is supposed to manually adjust FW & back & angle by just pushing or pulling it. Mine will not budge & is all the way back.

Same with passenger side.

I can see the slot where the chrome upright posts are all the was back & plenty of room to move FW.
================================================== ==========================

Manual section 4-1, “Pre-Driving”
  • Switch B controls the seat back angle and head restraints as follows:

Move the switch rearwards to recline or forwards to raise the seat back angle.

Move the switch upwards to raise and downwards to lower the head restraint.

The head restraint can be tilted through 45° by pushing backwards or pulling forwards into the desired position.

How do I move it FW? Current position is useless for preventing whiplash.

Thanks!

Seat adjustment controls

Maybe a bit of penetrant sprayed up there but cover the seats with a towel, they should rock free, push and pull from the top.

The adjustment is more of a tilt than a push - try grabbing the sides of the headrest and tilting it forward or backwards

Not sure if penetrant could affect the friction material in there (basically, cause it to come too loose and not hold its position)?

SOLVED!
Thanks nilanium!

Today I again tried tilting but, this time I really cranked it HARD! It moved.
I also did passenger side same way.

I think this is the 1st time I tried to move it, other than up & down, since I purchased the car in 2000!
