2003 is the best bet. The paint and interior are 5 years newer as well. Paint will cost $5,000 or more. Most of the engine and transmission problems have been resolve.
EXPECT to spend 1 1/2 times more for Jag maintenance than other cars.
For me the 2003 XJ8 Vanden Plas Super charged would be the ultimate. The long
wheel base cars have a lot of room and ride very nice. Get the best car you can afford, it will save you $$ in the long run.
