A bit of a light hearted one: who polishes their tail pipe extensions?
Let me explain. I quite often look at X308's for sale on auto-trader. Sometimes I see "well looked after" examples but when you look at the pics, the engine bay is dirty, the aerial is stuck half-way down, and the tail-pipe extensions are filthy.
My view is, if someone has paid attention to such details then you can be sure they would have paid attention to thing that matter.

But I am also fixing everything - one Jag after another - and for good measure sometimes a Fairlane or Van for a change...

PS: My last sentence above had the purpose to confirm to you the correlation between shiny tail pipe and maintained Jag in general...

 

I use balled up kitchen tin foil to clean the Jag’s chrome tail pipes. Works a treat.
