O.K., when I recently got Harlem out after her long hibernation (and having lent her to at least two other friends before then), I discovered that her front cig lighter element was missing (and presumed lost). Apparently someone decided to use the socket for the more recent purpose these days of powering some kind of high end electronic device vs. lighting up. I went ahead and ordered a NOS replacement element, but the first time I went to use it NO heat, so apparently the socket is not getting power anymore. I checked the 25-amp fuse though (in the boot fuse box) with my tester, thinking maybe something fell into the socket in the interim and shorted it out, and it tested good. Looking down closely into the socket I don't see anything in there that could be causing an issue, and the new element fits into it like it should, as well as when it is pushed down to the "activate" position. So where do I go next? I can't figure out what else could possibly be wrong with such a simple circuit.
