Exclamation Clip.Terraclean.

Hiya, first of all im looking for the plastic push in threaded clip that holds the centre piece of plastic below the wiper motor {under the bonnet} as mines is loose and id like to replace it.Also is it the same ones that are on the bottom piece of carpet below the back seat?? {I know they are tan cloloured inside and a black one outside} I know some of you will be having a laugh at my expense but if I don't ask I wont know !
My car is an XJ8 {X308} 1999 model.
And finally has anyone heard any good or bad reports on this Terraclean ? My car is turning over to 54,500 {soon} and would like to know if its really worth doing as it runs perfect, flew through its MOT,doesnt use oil or water but still it 16yrs old so the carbon will have built up over time.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time.
Rab

Hey Rab, sorry I can't help with the specific parts for your car, but no doubt someone will be along shortly to help.
Trust me Rab, no one will be laughing at your expense, we all have different levels of knowledge and expertise on site, we all learn a little more every day.

Terraclean - I've had a few vehicles done, My A6 at around 87k miles or so, bear mind its a diesel, and then the XJ at around 63k miles
Don't know if I'd do it on yours, at least not just yet, she runs sweet as a nut at the moment. I know you're thinking preventatively though.
Your size of engine would be around the £150 I'd guess
Personally I'd probably leave well enough alone

I used Warpspeedperformance in Kilbirnie, guy called Scott 07880 707925

I believe there's another guy in Eaxt Kilbride and another in Edinburgh somewhere too.

Modern engines using today's fuel and oil don't build enough carbon to make any difference in performance. As you already said, it runs perfectly.

Save your money.

Hi guys, thanks very much for the rapid response on the Terraclean I was thinking preservation as opposed to getting more power and better MPG. But the old saying 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' was always on my mind so I'm glad I got the response I did
Just on the off chance anyone does want it done on the 3.2 or 4ltr it's £140 (not far off Jim)
There is a guy Stuart in Airdrie that does it IF anyone wants his details just let me know.

I'm so happy I've got the forum app 'direct' on my phone without going through Google .....

I'm so easy pleased lol
Thanks again Jim n Mikey

Post Name of clips and size

Hiya, does anyone know the name of the push in threaded clips that are under the bonnet holding the plastic cover above the wiper motor ? It looks like the tan coloured ones that are on the carpet of the rear seat that gives you access to the battery. Do they come as a standard size ?
Any help would be appreciated 👍

It might be part 5 you need, Under Bonnet Covers - Parts For XJ Series from (V)812317 to (V)F59525 (X308) | Jaguar Heritage Parts UK

I bought mine at Rimmerbros.
