There are 10's of 100's of threads on this, just do a search at the top right of this thread. Also, when doing a search for any vehicle code using Bing or Google, be sure to put the manufacturer and the P code for maker specific fixes.
My initial check would be the MAF, be sure if you clean it, you use a MAF only cleaner.

Hi hammad2004,
You can download a relevant Jaguar Diagnostic Trouble Codes Summaries Guide at this link:
Jaguar DTC Summaries All Gasoline Models 2004
The guide gives possible causes of each DTC. In your case, P0172 indicates rich running in Bank 1, which is the right hand bank of cylinders when viewed from the driver's seat (left when viewed from the front of the car).
If your aftermarket air intake includes a K&N or similar filter, it is possible that the oil from the filter has contaminated your MAF, and cleaning it as Highhorse recommended is a great place to start. How long has it been since you cleaned or replaced the filter itself?
There are additional reasons one bank might run rich, but the possible causes in the DTC Summaries Guide are a good start.
Please keep us informed.
Cheers,
Don

Make sure your special air intake is not leaking; run a can of BG44K through the gas tank to clean your injectors (always worked on my 08 RRS/SC) to fix dirty and leaking injectors (not spraying); check for air leaks around throttle body; clean the MAF sensors and throttle bore and plate.

Hi guys so my car is now showing a sign sign saying "restricted performance " and sometimes the sign ggoes off ? Should I take it to a jag dealership ? Or is this something I can maybe fix at home. Trying to get the fuel cleaner online, I've only run iit on the best fuel so I'm thinking it could be something else ?
