Hello everyone

Unlucky my car got hit by massive hail.

The only parts which arent replaced yet are the window trim pieces
I already have a donor car without damaged window trim. I browsed the workshop manual but couldnt find anything helpful.

Did anyone already replace the window trim of a XJ8?

Thank you for any help where to start. Do i need a heatgun or are they snapped? Do i need any glue or double sided tape to reinstall them?

 

Here you can see the dents which i would like to have removed.

 

The window trim parts were snapped.

Unfortunately they snapped at the edge beforehand. I will order new ones from the Jaguar Heritage Website.

 

 

Here where I live in The States when we get hail storms, we get HAIL STORMS. sometime it can get the size of a golf ball and even grapefruit size. It is a common saying out this was, if you see a car with a lot of dings you know its from the central United States. A lot of car dealers will have a hail damage sale when they get hit.
