Can anyone confirm that this is the correct gasket set?

The '99 XJR used the AJ26 engine which has a different cover gasket set from the later AJ27 engines. I would suspect that the gasket set is for the later engine which sells as a FelPro set for around $40. Never seen the earlier set at that price point.

The '99 XJ/K8 used the AJ27 engine and the less expensive parts.

I thought I had an AJ26 motor and the Lincoln used the AJ27, so does anyone know if FELPRO makes a gasket set for the Valve covers?

This is confusing, jagservice.net claims
1998 - 1999 XJ8/XJR engines with the last six digits of their
VIN numbers between 812256-F41862 are AJ27 my car was built in Sept 98 as a '99MY
final # of my VIN# is 856522

based on a few posts related to getting the wrong gaskets, (AJ27) instead of AJ26 I think these are correct

Roger, FelPro does not make a gasket set for the AJ26 engine.

I agree, I've been looking all over for a gasket set, but would still like to know what engine I have

Resolved ***
I have an AJ26 motor, Jaguar could not confirm from VIN#, the Scottsdale service manager said that they can only tell by looking at the color of the gaskets on the car. Orange and grey are AJ26, Black are AJ27
I spoke with my old mechanic and he confirmed AJ26 based on gaskets he used.
So I bought gaskets off ebay for $89.00

My 1999 XJR had the black gaskets and the Felpro VS50724R set for a Lincoln LS 3.9 worked great.

Mine is built in Sept 98 as a 99MY, If yours was built later in 99 then you have the AJ27 motor
