RJ.......you might remember when I did the " 1/4 tsp.oil trick in the cylinders of my Nikasil block. a few years ago an you were very helpful at the time. Well I am doing it again after some years,, and I cant remember if you turn it over with plugs in or out, after you put the oil in the cylinders. Can you help with my dumb question

Give it a tiny squirt of starter fluid. If it fires you know you have spark and it's a fuel issue.

Squirt the oil in the cylinders, put a rag on top, crank it some seconds, put the plugs back in, then start it without touching the accelerator pedal.
One bank only might work though ... saves you time / effort.
