Default cup holder
Hi have just bought a 2002 XJR without the cup holder in the console lid. My local dealer tells me I'd have to replace the whole console to install a lid with a cup holder( makes for expensive coffee ). Is this correct or is it just a matter of installing the new lid?
All help appreciated.

you dont have to replace the whole thing just needs to be taken apart and the cup holder piece needs to be replaced.. like $100 for the part ... easy to install

thanks for your reply.Sorry I may not have been totally clear the currentconsole lid hasn't had the cupholder installed at all. So i'd require at least a new lid with the cupholder installed but also a whole new console?

Send me a PM with your trim code. I will check the salvage yard. The trim code is on a plate located on the driver's side door jam.

Hi Did you sort this? I am looking to do exactly the same thig, can the lid simply be switched?

If you have a choice, get the later, metal version. I broke my original, plastic one.
