I had a custom exhaust job done a few months ago and wanted to know if it was possible to install a silencer switch that closes valves as droning is an issue around 2k revs.
I’ve had an X Pipe placed in the centre and a rear back box delete for straight pipes.
I will be visiting a custom exhaust shop to get their opinion on this, but no harm in finding out if someone else has been in this situation before.
I have an X pipe in place of the front muffler, the center mufflers in front of the differential are straight piped and the rear mufflers you keep and there’s no droning.
Highorse will chime in here because he’s got great ideas on this.
I understand but, in my opinion the drone you have is because you have deleted the very back mufflers when you should’ve had the 2 smaller middle mufflers straight piped and leave the very back mufflers in place.
