I have this nasty oil leak on my 2003 Vanden Plas with the na 4.0.
it is located on the right front of the engine.
I am not sure what this componet is but could it be the culprit. It seems to leak after it has stopped running and been parked for awhile.
I've never seen an oil cooler bypass block installed like that. I guess the engine block started out as a SC and then instead of cooler lines, it was fitted with a bypass block. Maybe a few left over SuperCharged engine cylinder block upper oil pan assys were used with the oil cooler bypass?? Use up the old parts??
Remove the center bolt and replace the 'O'rings!!!!!!!

Thanks for the timely reply Bob. I removed the cover and replaced the 4 O-rings. That's the driest the floor has been since I bought the car 1.5 years ago (and not to mention the cheapest at $2.75). LOL
