Default Dash light bulb

I think I either knocked something loose or coincidentally need a light bulb!

I just took my radio out and hooked up an iPhone adapter and now 1/2 of my A/C display is dark. The photo sucks, I know, but I think you can tell that the right 1/2 of the display with the temperature is dark.

What do I need to do? Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks and Happy New Year!

The climate control display is backlit. I don't remember if there are one or two bulbs. Mine was completely black.....not just half.....but I don't recall how many bulbs I replaced. The part number for the bulbs is #JLM11965. I think I ordered them from Motorcars Ltd. They are LED bulbs that fit into the back of the display.

There are 2 Led bulbs. I replaced them both when I had it apart.
Buy the bulbs from Jaguar. Around $6.00 each.

Hi OldMike
You need to view this other thread:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...p-gauge-18946/

Part number is JLM20309 - Green bulb - there are 2 of them (one on left and other on right of the display). I removed one from my spare upper climate control panel. It is a little hard to grip, but it does come out by turning it counter clockwise.

Happy New Year

I decided to take the dash apart just for fun and to see if I could find the offending bulb. It was not as easy as I thought it would be, had a heck of a time getting the AC control unit out of the dash -- is there a secret to making it easier? The "bar" underneath it made it very hard to maneuver, plus there had been some leather repair that was done on the surround and I think it make the top of the AC unit stick. I man-handled it out and took a look, but by then I had to go do something else so I didn't have much time. I looked at the two connectors quickly and didn't see how to unhook them, so I just re-installed the unit.

Funny -- the display was 1/2 dark at first but at some time while driving it "fixed" itself -- now the entire display is lit and I don't need a new bulb! LOL Wonder what I did to fix it?
