Default day time running lights

is there a way to turn them off? I'm tired of having to replace my bulbs constantly!

my questions are

why you need to turn them off and why would have to replace constantly?

I replaced to a SMD LED one 4 years ago and never had issue. should last a very long time

Would these lights plug in without any changes?

Is this on the 98? I have two, and only replaced one bulb in the last 3 years. Also, how does a guy in Texas get DRLs?

If it is a US market car and the DRL were turned on by the dealer, they can be turned off again using the dealer software.

It is also possible to wire in a override switch.

Won't overriding the switch cos problems? I kno typically in cheap through away cars u can just pull fuse/relay! No real issue, but it becomes concerning with the jag when u start with electrical! I installed hids! Up my fuses to 20 ampbut if both ballast don't turn on when starting I have to turn off my car and restart! This throughs me abs and traction failure light until I turn off restart again then both ballast work, and indicator goes out! If it's rather simple to override it, could someone post how? Thanks

I bought those because of this thread, however they look too blue next to the headlamps for me while stock 194s are too yellow.

Also they are always on, are yours?

Anyone with ideas?

Thanks!

You need someone with an IDS or WDS most independants have them all dealers, they can switch them off

An independent with
Autologic and Jaguar software package can cut on and off too. I tried it on on mine but decided it lights too many bulbs,

Thank you, I think I didn't explain myself well. .

Once I plugged in the LEDs they stay on regardless if they are switched on( key in or not) albeit very dimly. Once the car is started and I turn the lamps on they get very bright( what I was looking for but too blue). If I plug the normal 194s no issue. It seems the LEDs are finding power but I don't know how and if anyone else has encountered this.

Thanks again!!
