Hi all,
I am in the market for a new emblem for my trunk lid as part of the emblem which says “Jaguar” has just fallen off for some reason, anyways I found an assortment of emblems on eBay but an emblem for 1998-2002? Seems to run for about $50 but I found an emblem for about $10 except it says it’s for a 1993-1995. Would that work on my 2001 xjr? It seems to look the same but I am not certain.

 

the 94-97 jags have the same badge sizes but usually in green or red. 308 XJRs usually have it in silver

 

This one appears to be gray... or is it grey now that I own a Jaguar?

Badging varied both from year, ..model changes, ..to model options, ..to country of destination. I would check with your local British and/or Jaguar Auto Club, they should be very helpful.

I can tell you from very recent practical experience, that you can find OEM Jag pieces cheaper than used Ebay ones. I bought a new intake tube...Ebay $90 used, plus shipping...Jaguar $57 and I drove to them and picked it up free. They even price matched another Jag dealer, though it was only a few bucks. So you may want to check there as well as other online Jag dealers and see if your local once price matches. Also, your OEM badge got you almost 20 yrs, I doubt the Ebay one will get you more than 5-6 yrs. Also, yearly differences may not match up with the post mounts, so again, check with the local British enthusiasts.
