Hello guys,

Is there any way to recondition these, when they fail and show / drip liquid? I remember seeing a thread somewhere that some shop would fix the faults - and even better, install a better and more durable solution, but I can't find that post for the love of me. Thing is - ok, I get new ones, but won't they fail again?

Do you know a company in Europe that might refurbish them?

Hi All,

From experience this leaking mirror problem appears to only affect earlier versions (ie - those with the yellow connector and no rain sensor). The company that manufactured them (Donnelly) went bust and another firm took over production (although they still had 'Donnelly' etched onto them). I always buy a used later version with the white connector and rewire the connector accordingly (bit fiddly but has always worked for me).
