Does anyone know where I can find some electrochromatic side-view mirrors that autodim for an '02 S-Type? Thanks!

I think that maybe they are not made for the year model that I have, but I know they are out there for other vehicles....I would love to have some if there are any that I can put on mine!

 

Honestly I never heard of them..I think it's because they could be a safety hazard..I understand about the inside mirror dimming, as all my cars do it..But I think if the outside mirrors dimmed, you may be having a blind spot for someone besides you and you wouldn't see them incase you were changing lanes etc....I could be wrong too.

 

I have them on both of my Jaguars.

I thought so! Yes, they are very, very nice, I love the rearview mirror because it does that, I just want the side ones now and we're all set. Does anyone know where I can find any for a good price, I haven't had much luck finding either side for my S-Type.

 

I think they work in conjunction with the light sensors in the center rear view mirror. Don't think you can add them without a complete change out and rewiring.

 

Yikes!!!! I figured they worked independently from the rear view mirror. That sounds very troublesome just to add them, and most likely not worth it!
