Does anyone use a switchblade key for their car?

I have a 2000 VDP with a dead remote. I see these switchblade style keys/remotes for the X350s on ebay. I read on this forum that such a key and remote should work on our Jags from '98-'03, but I want to know if anyone has done this just to be sure.

If the FCC ID matches you should be able to use them, but I don't believe that it does...
