Door Handle Cable Snapped...Need Advice
Hey guys, so my drivers door cable snapped on me the other day so now I cannot get out of my car without going out the passenger side. I have stripped down the door panel and removed the broken cable but the piece that attaches to the inside of the door is where it broke (NOT at inner door handle). My problem is that im not sure how to remove that piece to see what I'm working on. Has anybody done this repair before? I'm a college student trying to save some $$$ so advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
when working inside the door a mirror and bright led penlight can be your best friend.
shine the light at the mirror from your line of vision and let the light bounce off the mirror to the object and it will illuminate perfectly while you are looking at the object in the mirror.

I just did this repair last weekend replacing the cable (purchased on eBay for $55). There is no reason to remove the door latch, just use a small mirror and a light. I was able to put the end of the new cable to where it needed to be without much trouble. Once you see it it will be obvious what you need to do.
