Default Door lock cylinder / barrel

Hi

I tried to unlock my front drivers side door this weekend but that didn't work go very well Couldn't turn the key.

Turned out that the barrel was loose and had been pushed in a bit by the key.

Is the barrel held in place by the plastic ring on the barrel, as seen in the second image or is there supposed to be a metal circlip / retaining ring?

Looks like the screw that goes throught the plastic piece and the circle clip holds the assembly in place.

The bottom photo from Ebay listing, I used snipping tool to snip part of image after using browser zoom to increase image size for top photo closeup.
