Hi , I am a newbe and I have a couple question on a XJ8 1998 Jag when I try to use the remote key fob to lock or unlock the doors the drivers side mirror moves all the way to the left and won't stop unless you operate the switch on the door .The lock will lock and unlock and trunk will open but how can I get the mirror not to move? Next the car is not equipped with a CD player I don't see any wiring in the trunk ,could there be wiring? The radio has a button that says CD what options would I have ?I found a Jag CD player at an auto wrecker.

Try resetting the memory seat/column/mirrors and the keyfob transmitter(s).
# 3 cannot be programmed to the keyfob transmitters.

The feedback pot(s) in the mirror might be faulty.

The CD cable is in the left rear section of the boot behind the trim panel.

Thanks Bob , I got the remote working . How many wires are on the plug for the CD player.

It should just be one big umbilical chord. Thats what mine was for a '00 car with Alpine premium sound. The connector type is called AI-NET. I'm not sure what the connector would be for a Harmon Kardon equipped car
