Default Door Trim

Recently I noticed a couple of my door trm panels have started to come lose on my 2002 VDP. How are they adhered to the door? double sided tape? spray adhesive?
Thanks,
Bill

Which part of the door do you mean? The wood veneer or the actual entire door card? Both are held on with clips, which are cheap and easy to come by if you find yours are broken/missing.

Default Door Trim

It' just the front doors and is the veneered wood trim. Not the veneer itself but the piece on the door panel and it is just in the corner closest to the seat. The rest is in place just fine.

Hello Bill, as silly as this will sound, why not try sticking the trim down with something like Silicone? This can be hidden easily behind the panel as you will only need a small amount and it's easily removed also should you need to remove the pannel for any reason. Either this or a double sided sticky pad.

Great minds, Stu. I had not thought of the silicone but was thinking since it is only the corner of the driver's door and the passenger door of using doubled sided tape. The rest of the trim on both doors is fine and this is not sticking way out. When you were thinking of silicone were you meaning like a silicone putty?
Thanks,
Bill

Glad you found a fix that worked. I meant the silicone that comes out of a tube, like what you might use in a bathroom. We use it at the depot for sealing the floors of buses, or areas of the bus which requires protection from water. But it is also pressed into service as a glue when a easy removed solution is required.

Default door trim revisited

Okay, haven't revisited this in a while. Tried the double sided tape but did not work. I didn't want to remove this wood door trim (both front doors have the problem). Not sure I want to try the silicone methog recommended. What's the best fix...how do I remove these pieces from each door?
Thanks.
