Hopefully I can make this a short story and not a novel. Yesterday I had to go to the post office, on the way to it I stopped by the garage I use to make an appoint for the GF's van, doors unlocked and opened fine, left there got to the post office and when I pulled the handle all locks except the drivers door unlocked, tried the FOB, nothing, used the button on the dash, nothing. would not pull up by hand either. Sop start the car, pulled out drove around the block, parked at PO and drivers door unlock. Left there, drove to the Dollar Store, and the drivers door did the same thing, decided to leave the parking area, go to the Wal-Mart just down a bit, parked and the door would not open, same as before, the door lock would not come up. Discussed I just went home, pulled in the garage and no problem, door unlocks.
Just (hopefully) a sort bit. A couple of days ago, I went to the store, got home but could not get the car into the garage. My drive is inclined and only dirt, we had some snow (not much, 5 inches), but some ice underneath. so parked outside, and of course we had frigid temps for the past week (windchill's hit -20 to -35 Below 0). so my thought is maybe moisture got in and caused the problem (I am hoping).
Somewhat possible it could be the moisture, but it sounds like a failing module since its intermittent. Try to do a reset, either by disconnecting the battery cables and bleeding them off or by removing the driver door card, disconnecting the control module (center bottom) for 2 minutes and reconnecting. That may clear it.
