I must be deaf , I just found that my 2000 XJR driver side speaker did not sound since long time ago.

I am measuring for OEM Alpine or any advise for a even better after market replacement?

I believed size is 6 1/4 inch if I was correct

 

On my system, I replaced 2 stock units in the front doors. I have the standard Philips speakers, but yes its 6 3/4 I think... I wouldn't replace 1 speaker with an aftermarket one, but if you replace lock, stock, and barrel, you would probably do well with a newer Alpine setup. Bowers and Wilins sells some of their products at exorbidant rates I think, maybe they have something in your size. Funny thing with the standard system, the speaker grilles are $10 more than the speakers themselves.

 

Well, I stopped by the Auto Audio shop and the guy took a brief look and he that might be the issue of the amplifier or stereo/radio instead the the side speaker since both front and rear big speakers were out but smaller were fine.

In case of the amp issue, Can I replace it with an aftermarket one or jaguar restricts with any codes?
