Riddle me this, the control does not adjust the drivers side mirror in any direction, but will adjust the passenger side.

If i manually adjust the drivers mirror into position, lock and unlock the car the darn thing moves back into a position it wants.

If i manually adjust the drivers mirror, and program the seat memory position, it still resets itself back into a position it wants.

Do i replace the whole mirror motor assembly? ....even though its able to move itself. Or is the problem somewhere else.

 

sounds like the control switch for left and right is bad -- if the mirror moves using the memory control all the wires to the mirror are good. flip the switch a few times and wiggle it while holding down the control and see if the mirror has any movement.

I have never taken that switch apart -- but often the contacts get fouled. Getting one from a wreck on e-bay may be in order

 

Why not adjust the mirror 'manually' and THEN reset the memory position????????
