Default Driver's and or passengers airbag issues

Hello to all, I recently purchased a 2000 Jaguar XJR. I have an airbag light on. It is not blinking it is solid and on all of the time. Can someone give me some suggestions on how to handle this. I took it to my local mechanic and he said that I needed to take the car to a Jag dealer to have it diagnosed and that his code had something to do with the computer. I have read that these cars have a plug in harness under the seat that can sometimes come loose or get dirty. Is there any truth to this? Any help would be much appreciated.

You need a diagnostic device that can communicate with the SRS module to read the 'B' codes (Body DTCs).

We can all guess about 'this & that'..............Let the guessing begin!
