Eaton M1112 from XJR/XKR and Mustang SVT corba differences and similarities
ok, without too much mechanical knowledge, please forgive me to open up this thread for discussion
I know they are both Eaton M112 S/C but some say there are major differences
what I am interested about is there are alot of performance upgrade parts like pulley available for SVT over the Jaguar counterparts
like billetflow.com
how many of those Mustang parts will be compatible for our Jags

They are basically completely different. To start with, the Jaguar supercharger blows upwards relative to mounting and the Ford supercharger blows down, as Jaguar runs top mounted intercoolers and Ford runs a valley mounted intercooler. I'm not even entirely sure they rotate the same direction. The rotors MAY be interchangeable between the two, but I doubt it. And no upgrades meant for the Cobra fit, especially pulleys as the Jag and the Mustang have completely different offsets for pulley alignment. No interchange possible unfortunately. About the only thing is that a lot of the places that port the M112 for the Cobra guys can port the Jaguar Eaton as well.
I own a 2003 Mach 1 and been in the mustang scene for quite a while and those 2003-2004 cobra's pick up power from the most slightest mods. People usually port the supercharger, change the upper pulley, lower pulley, off-road mid pipe, fuel pump and the great thing about mustangs is they have hand tuners like SCT/Diablo and the tuner adjusts the air/fuel & timing based on octane rating and it picks up close to 500rwhp. The superchargers may be the same number, but they're not the same exact as mentioned above. You can port both of them, but the cobra will always pick up more power (bigger displacement + heads are factory ported + hand tuner and mods available)
I'm moderately new to this Jaguar scene and the only upgrades I have seen for our engines is upper pulley, lower pulley, few exhaust options, custom home-made intakes, methanol injection, and bigger overpriced cooler. People usually **** to either lower pulley or upper pulley with a custom home-made intake. I'm personally going with the lower pulley mod just because it adds the most boost and I don't need to grind around the supercharger to fit on the upper pulley and maybe methanol injection down the road.
