Earlier this summer I decided to remove and replace the original ignition coils on my 2000 xj8 with new ones due to constant misfiring problems I had been having. I had already replaced the plugs about two years ago and it ran great until earlier this past summer when it started acting up. When I was done replacing everuthong I tried to start it and It cranks but does not fire up. I used the car only a few days before and it ran OK, except for the misfiring problem. Now it just cranks but nothing else happens
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Pull a spark plug and see if you have fire during the crank first. If so, then you can
check the relief valve to see if you have pressure in the fuel rails, and if both of those
are good, then check for a compression issue.
