Would any one know what this error code relates to on a X308 ? Found while trying to find why the cruise control has stopped working...Neil

 

that code fault description reads "P1722 Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio"

The full description from the Jaguar table for P1722 is:

Fault Description
Transmission stall speed failure

Default Action
When fault is detected:
1. transmission adopts limp home mode (5th gear)
2. ECM limits engine power

Possible Causes
1. transmission oil level low
2. selector cable adjustment / installation incorrect
3. output speed sensor problem
4. transmission failure

If there is no other issue that the code is present, there may have been a transient out-of-range signal from the output speed sensor to the TCM at some time.
