Error Message
I have a 2003 XJ SUPER8 that I recently got the following Error Message
ASC NOT AVAILABLE
FAILSAFE ENGINE MODE
Does anyone know what it means? When the error occurs the car will lose power and once turned off and restarted runs fine.

I think there are quite a few threads related to those errors in the XJ section. Try browsing there, although if you could get your error codes read from an OBDII scanner (or free at Autozone, if it works) and report back, the techs can help you narrow it down further.
