My wife's '98 XJ8's odometer, mileage, gas usage, etc, screen now normally tells me that the ABS isn't working. A Jag mechanic told me that computer problems usually were in the connection, not the computer, itself. Occasionally the screen works fine which tells me that it is time to have the suspension re-aligned because my wife has run over a curb or a speed bump. She doesn't really drive as much as aim. Can I reconnect this computer connection myself? And, of course, how?

 

The ABS module has some known failures. Search the archives for ABS module and decide if you want to tackle the repair yourself or get someone to do it for you.
