The passenger side sunshade works very well.

The drivers side won’t retract. This is what it looks like in the up position. This is just a manual spring loaded spool. I’ve always wondered what that squarish piece in the roof was all about. I’ve done a search on here and couldn’t find another post about these. Hens teeth?? This is on my recently acquired 03’ Super V8 from Wisconsin and no rust on the body.

Does anyone have any information about these??

 

I'm unsure if these were ever "standard equipment" on any of the X308 models, but they are listed in the catalogue in single or twin blind form. The single unit is listed as not suitable for the upgraded stereo fitment, presumably it interferes with the parcel shelf sub-woofer.

According to the Barrett site they are still available in limited colors, and high prices!
