Default To Fit or Not to Fit

I have a beautiful red LWB x308 sovereign 4.0 and I'm torn to weather I should buy and fit a spring leaper (so it's road legal) I've seen a few with them fitted and they do look really good but I know there's a lot of talk about whether it's legal or not ect ect so my question is

If it was your car would you have one fitted?

In my observation, there really seems to be a continental divide on this question. Apart from the very newest cars, I have never seen a Jag in the States without a hood ornament. We are thus 'used' to seeing them this way, and the cars look somewhat naked without them. My understanding is that it's almost the exact opposite elsewhere. So, were it my car - here - and if it were legal: yes I would. But you know what they say about beauty…

cheers,
Scott

My view is don't put an emblem on a model that didn't come out of the factory with one on....there are exceptions to this of course..... however, I am not a fan of the DIY leaping cat ornament...it makes me cringe, bit crass, when I know or suspect that someone put it on afterwards...especially when it's in an 'odd looking' position.......Just my opinion...Allan

Leapers come under the category of "unnecessary adornment" in my book.

Resist temptation. You'll be a better person for it and be admired by all
