I think this failure is almost as common as the driver’s door check arm. The seat on my daily driver was ripped so I switched the seat with one removed from my project car. Clips on control unit broken, black plastic cup had pulled through screws and metal mount to seat frame broken. Removed good seat control from daily driver and found metal mount also broken. Welded.
I agree, that is a common failure point. The less you weigh, the less likely those wires will short out on the seat frame. The top photo will give you a general idea.
